THE LEAD
Dallas Baptist University lost to St. Mary's 2-0 on Thursday evening at Patriot Soccer Field. Ignacio Fernandez fueled the Rattlers' offense with an unassisted goal in the 28th minute and an assist on Victor Luna's 51st minute goal.

St. Mary's outshot the Patriots 18-9 and 6-3 in shots on goal. Goalkeeper Sean Bouland made two saves before handing over the duties to Mason Stringer in the 54th minute. Stringer made two saves as well in his first appearance since October 17.
