THE LEADDallas Baptist University lost to Texas A&M International University 3-2 on Saturday evening after Tayeb Ahmadi chipped the golden goal past DBU goalkeeper
Mason Stringer in the 104th minute for his second goal of the game and sixth of the season. Ahmadi also scored in the 59th minute to give the Dustdevils a 2-0 lead.
Cameron Gilbert scored his first goal of the season to level the match with just 23 seconds remaining in regulation to force the game into extra time.
Riley Alvey missed a chance for an equalizer on a penalty kick in the 85th minute.
The Dustdevils outshot DBU 18-17 and 8-7 in shots on goal. Both Stringer and TAMIU goalie Miguel Lucio made five saves in the match. The Patriots and Dustdevils both finished the season with 6-10-1 records.
