DBU Advances to NCCAA Central Regional Final

THE LEAD
Dallas Baptist University advanced to the NCCAA Central Regional Final with a 2-0 win over Southwestern Assemblies of God on Friday afternoon. Senior midfielder Jay Adam Williams scored his first goal of the season to open the scoring for the Patriots, finishing off a pass from Nathan McBride to take a 1-0 lead in the 39th minute.
 
Redshirt junior midfielder Landon Lacy also scored his first of the season to extend DBU's lead to 2-0 in the 70th minute on an unassisted goal. The Patriot defense held the Lions to zero shots in the first half and just one shot on goal in the match. Goalkeeper Sean Bouland made one save to preserve the DBU lead.
