KICKOFF
Dallas Baptist blanked Oklahoma Christian 2-0 on Saturday, October 3, for the Patriots' second shutout in as many conference matches . Junior forward Riley Alvey netted his sixth goal of the season on a penalty kick in the 77^th minute for the game winner. Freshman midfielder Michalin Dennie extended DBU's lead to 2-0 with a chip over the goalkeeper in the 89^th minute.
 
DBU goalie Mason Stringer tied his season high save total with seven stops against the Eagles. The Patriots return home to host Southern Nazarene on Tuesday, October 6, at 7:00 p.m.
 
ALVEY CHASING POINTS RECORD
With his game-winner against OCU, Riley Alvey is just two points away from tying David Balyeat's program record of 35 career points. Alvey has 14 career goals and five assists. Alvey tied his single-season goal record (5) through the first seven games this season.
 
STRINGER BREAKS NATIONAL TOP 50
After two breakout performances in the opening week of Heartland Conference play, Mason Stringer leads the Heartland Conference and ranks 35^th in Division II in saves per game (5.33) and 43^rd in save percentage (.800).   
 
SCOUTING THE CRIMSON STORM
After an 0-6 start, SNU is 2-1 in their last three matches. Freshman midfielder Tommy Fiszel paces the Crimson Storm in goals (5) and assists (4).
