THE LEADThe DBU Men's Basketball Team opened their 2015-2016 campaign with a convincing 99-81 win over Colorado Christian at the Heartland Conference vs. Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tip-Off in Lakewood, Colorado.Â
Myles Johnson and
Joey Miller led the way for the Patriots as each scored 22 points and combined to drain 11 three-pointers on the night.Â
Jonathan Perry joined Johnson and Miller in double-digits, adding 18 points of his own.

After falling behind by 13 points with 10:17 remaining in the first half, DBU outscored the Cougars 32-12 to take a 52-45 lead into the locker room. A Johnson three-pointer with 6:17 to go until the half, capped off a 15-1 run and gave the Patriots their first lead of the night.
In the second half, the Patriots kept the pressure on CCU, opening up a double-digit lead at 68-56 with 14:40 left to play. DBU outscored the Cougars 47-36 in the second half and were led by Miller's 10 points over the final 20 minutes.
