THE LEAD
Dallas Baptist University defeated Southwest Christian University 2-1 in Saturday's NCCAA Central Regional Championship. Junior forward Riley Alvey netted an early goal off an assist from Brooks Friedman to give the Patriots a 1-0 lead in the 10^th minute.  
 
Redshirt junior midfielder Landon Lacy scored the game-winner in the 70^th minute for his second goal of the regional to extend DBU's lead to 2-0. Sean Bouland made five saves in the match, despite allowing a late goal that cut the Patriots' lead in half in the 86^th minute.
