THE LEAD
A valiant comeback by No. 15 Dallas Baptist fell short, as a walk-off home run by Oklahoma State's, Ryan Sluder, in the tenth inning lifted the No. 9 Cowboys to a 10-7 win over the Patriots at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on Tuesday night.  Down 6-1 going into the fourth inning, the Patriots (29-9) scored six unanswered runs to take a 7-6 lead into the ninth inning, but two errors and a catcher's interference call would lead to OSU tying the game in the ninth, before winning the game in walk-off fashion in the tenth.
 
Oklahoma State (27-13) jumped on DBU in the first inning, scoring a run, and then adding two more in the second to chase Patriot starter, Jay Calhoun, from the game.  After a Justin Wall put DBU on the board in the third, the Cowboys responded with three runs of their own in the third to take a 6-1 advantage.
 
The Patriots' comeback would begin in the fourth, as DBU scratched across three runs, highlighted by a David Martinelli RBI doule.  In the fifth inning, Tagg Duce belted his sixth home run of the year and Chane Lnych scored the game-tying run on a wild pitch.  Tied 6-6, Chance Adams shutdown the OSU bats for three-plus innings, as the junior from Scottsdale, Arizona, kept the Cowboys scoreless, while striking out six. 
 
In the seventh, DBU took their first lead of the game when Daniel Sweet lined out to right field, allowing Duce to score the go-ahead run from third.  Leading 7-6 in the ninth, an error by Camden Duzenack, followed by a catcher's interference call opened the door for Oklahoma State.  With Brandon Koch on the hill in search of his ninth save of the year and facing a bases loaded situation with one out, a ground ball to DBU third baseman, Nash Knight, resulted in the Patiots' fourth error of the night and tied the game at seven. 
 
Faced with the bases loaded and one out, Koch struck out the next two batters he faced to to get out of the jam.  In the tenth, Koch ran into trouble one more time, as Tim Arakawa and Jacob Chappell delivered back-to-back singles.  With two on and one out, Ryan Sluder ended the game on a walk-off home run over the left field wall.

DBU travels to Carbondale, Illinois, to face Southern Illinois in a three-game series.  First pitch of game one is scheduled for Friday at 6:30 pm.
