The Skyhawks got an early lead in the sixth minute when senior forward Brooke Milliet scored on a cross from redshirt midfielder Jenna Brown. Fort Lewis added a second goal just minutes into the second half when junior midfielder Courtney Riley put one past DBU goalkeeper
Jenna Ackerly.
The Patriots cut the lead in half on the following possession on a score by freshman midfielder
Skye Sivess. DBU was held to just three shots on goal and could not produce an equalizer.
