THE LEAD
The Dallas Baptist University Women's Soccer team defeated St. Mary's, 2-0, on Saturday afternoon at Sigma Beta Chi Field in San Antonio, Texas. The Patriots extend their winning streak to six games and improve to 6-3-1 and 6-1-0 in Heartland Conference competition.

After a scoreless first half, Rebecca Kernen opened the scoring in the 58th minute, finishing off a cross from Lindsay McManus. Enfinity Stephens tacked on a second goal in the 65th minute after collecting a rebound from her first shot and finishing it off on the second attempt.

Hope Koym was forced to make just two saves in the match and earned her fourth shutout of the season.
