The Dallas Baptist University Men's Soccer team lost to Rogers State University, 3-2, on Saturday afternoon at Soldier Field in Claremore, Oklahoma. Jake Simpson scored his team-leading sixth goal of the season just 29 seconds into the first extra time period to give the Hillcats the win.
The Patriots jumped out to an early 2-0 lead behind goals by
Riley Alvey and
Brooks Friedman in the sixth and eighth minutes, respectively. Chris Sowder cut the DBU lead in half in the 82nd minute after heading in a throw in from Matt Price. Kevin Kwarteng scored the equalizer seven minutes later, with just under two minutes remaining in the match to send the game into overtime.

DBU returns home to face St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Patriot Soccer Field.

The Rattlers begin the second half of a four-game roadtrip after a scoreless draw with Oklahoma Christian in Oklahoma City and a 4-0 loss to No. 25 Midwestern State in Wichita Falls, Texas. St. Mary's has struggled in the Heartland Conference, posting a 1-4-1 record in conference play so far.

Patricio Botello Faz and Dan Johns lead the Rattlers offense with a pair of goals each this season. Jack Moore has handled a bulk of the goalkeeping duties, making 48 saves and allowing 14 goals in over 800 minutes this season. Playing in front of Moore is 2015 Second Team All-Heartland Conference selection and defender Gonzalo Orozco.
