The Dallas Baptist University Women's Soccer team defeated St. Mary's, 2-0, on Saturday afternoon at Sigma Beta Chi Field in San Antonio, Texas. The Patriots extend their winning streak to six games and improve to 6-3-1 and 6-1-0 in Heartland Conference competition.
After a scoreless first half,
Rebecca Kernen opened the scoring in the 58th minute, finishing off a cross from
Lindsay McManus.
Enfiniti Stephens tacked on a second goal in the 65th minute after collecting a rebound from her first shot and finishing it off on the second attempt.
Hope Koym was forced to make just two saves in the match and earned her fourth shutout of the season.

The Patriots finish off a five-game roadtrip against St. Edward's at Noon on Saturday at Lewis-Chen Family Field in Austin, Texas.

A traditionally dominant team, the 7-1-1 Hilltoppers have outscored opponents 25-5 and outshot opponents 158-39. The only blemish in conference play came in a 1-1 tie on the road with Rogers State, but St. Edward's has responded with three straight wins by a margin of 9-1.

With eight goals and two assists, Jennifer Boudreau ranks in the top-25 in the nation in goals, gamewinning goals and points per game. In goal, Lorrie Santoy has only allowed five goals in nine starts. With a stellar defense in front of her, she has only been forced to make seven saves.

DBU is 9-19 alltime in the rivalry with St. Edward's, but has posted a 4-1 record against the Hilltoppers in the last five meetings. The one loss came earlier this season in Dallas. Jennifer Boudreau scored the gamewinner in the 77th minute of the match.
