The Dallas Baptist University Women's Soccer team earned their first Heartland Conference victory as they defeated Oklahoma Christian, 3-1, on Thursday night at Patriot Soccer Field in Dallas, Texas.

McKenna Namken scored the opening goal and assisted on the second and third goals to lead the Patriots' offense.
Hope Koym made six saves in goal, before handing over duties toÂ
Grace Johnson, who allowed a goal to Rubi Villegas in the 89th minute.

The Patriots play host to Lubbock Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at Patriot Soccer Field.

SCOUTING LUBBOCK CHRISTIAN
The Chaps started the season with three straight victories by a combined score of 7-0 before losing on the road to St. Edward's. Jamie Boone, Haley Knesek and Hollie Windham each have two goals on the year. The trio has been helped out by Erika Aviles, who has a team-high three assists.

Goalkeeper Sarah Palmer had posted perfect numbers through the opening three matches, allowing no goals and recording 12 saves, before allowing three goals to St. Edward's. Palmer is privileged with two returning All-Heartland Conference selections in front of her on defense, Kate O'Gara and Madison Boyd.
