KICK-OFF
The Dallas Baptist University Women's Soccer team defeated Rogers State University on Saturday afternoon at Soldier Field in Claremore, Oklahoma. Emma Durain scored the game winner for the Patriots in the 81st minute, when Katelyn Havard provided a ball for Durain to head over goalkeeper Taylor Stover.

DBU challenged Stover all game long, forcing her to make 10 saves in the match. Stover's counterpart, Hope Koym, made two saves and recorded her third shutout of the season.

The Patriots continue their roadtrip against Texas A&M International at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Dustdevil Soccer Field in Laredo, Texas.

PATRIOT STORYLINES
 - Hope Koym was named the Heartland Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the second straight week on Monday.

 - The Patriots have won four conference matches in a row and are 43-5-2 in conference play since 2011.

 - Leah Draper will be making her 50th career appearance as a DBU Patriot on Thursday.

 -  Hope Koym ranks 20th in the nation in save percentage (.889).

 - The Patriots are tied with St. Edward's for the fewest goals allowed in conference play (3).

SCOUTING TEXAS A&M INTERNATIONAL
The Dustdevils are off to a 0-8 start and have been outscored by their opponents 24-6, most likely due to losing four All-Heartland Conference selections from last season. Cio Bargallo has accounted for half of TAMIU's goals, scoring in three of her last five starts. Kiyana Lopez has played every minute in goal for the Dustdevils, recording 54 saves but also allowing 24 goals.

SERIES HISTORY
DBU is 18-1-1 all time against Texas A&M International after having their 14-game win streak versus the Dustdevils snapped in a 0-0 stalemate in last year's season finale. The Patriots placed 15 of their 32 shots on goal, but could not get a goal past Third Team All-Heartland Conference selection Chelsea Knaack.
