THE LEAD
The Dallas Baptist University Women's Soccer team defeated Texas A&M International University, 2-1, on Thursday night at Dustdevil Soccer Field in Laredo, Texas.
Kristina Williamson scored twice in the final 15 minutes to lift the Patriots over the Dustdevils.
TAMIU's Tiandra Draggon broke the 0-0 stalemate in the 60th minute after collecting a loose ball in the box and placing a shot past goalkeeper
Hope Koym. Williamson scored the equalizer 16 minutes later after a pass from
Emmy Niece set up Williamson for an easy goal in the right corner.
With just 31 seconds remaining in the match, Niece again connected with Williamson, who beat a defender at the top of the box and scored the game winner. Koym was only forced to make one save in the match.
