THE LEAD
The Dallas Baptist University Women's Soccer team dropped their home opener by a score of 1-0 to St. Edward's on Thursday night at Patriot Soccer Field in Dallas, Texas. Jennifer Boudreau scored the gamewinner in the 77th minute when she received a pass from Sabrina Cone and took a shot from the top of the box that just sailed past Patriots goalkeeper Hope Koym.

Cecily Martinez and Emma Durain led DBU with two shots each. Martinez placed both her shots on frame, but was unable to beat Hilltopper goalie Lorrie Santoy. Santoy made three saves, while Hope Koym recorded one.

THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- For the first time since October 2006, DBU has been held scoreless in three straight games.
