Women's Soccer Ties Rogers State, 1-1

THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Women's Soccer team (8-3-2, 6-1-2 Heartland Conference)  tied Rogers State (9-3-1, 5-3-1) 1-1 Thursday night.

Jayme Woodfill opened the scoring in the 65th minute with a goal from in front of the net following a Hillcat turnover. Alondra Olmos picked up the assist.

Hannah Mushisky scored the game-tying goal in the 86th minute with an assist from Jordan Downing.

Hope Koym saved five of six shots on goal, including one with 1:40 to play.


THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
 - The Patriots still have the best record in the Heartland Conference at 6-1-2.

 - Woodfill broke a seven-way tie for the team lead by scoring her third goal.

 - The Patriots' road record remains at .500 (2-2-1).

"We felt like we let this one slip away. We had the momentum and the lead and just didn't manage the remaining moments of the game well. It's a hard lesson, but one that we needed to learn now."
