THE RUNDOWN
A second-half comeback bid fell short for the DBU Men's Soccer team (7-8-1, 4-7-1 Heartland Conference) as the Patriots fell 4-2 at No. 4 Midwestern State (14-0-2, 10-0-2) Saturday.
An own goal gave the Mustangs a 1-0 lead in the 10th minute. A penalty kick by Patrick Fitzgerald and another own goal led to a 3-0 score at haltime.

Ethan Martinez assisted the first, and
Nathan McBride picked up the helper on the second.
Ross Fitzpatrick padded the Midwestern State lead with a goal on a rebound in the 71st minute.
