THE RUNDOWN
A late goal was too little too late for the DBU Men's Soccer team (7-9-1, 4-8-1 Heartland Conference) in a 2-1 loss at Texas A&M International (9-4-2, 8-4-1) Thursday.
Aaron Zuniga opened the scoring in the 58th minute for the Dustdevils with a shot that deflected off a defender and into the back of the net. His brother Rodrigo added a second goal in the 73rd minute to extend the lead to 2-0.
Ethan Martinez scored on a free kick in the 85th minute to cut the lead in half.
Riley Unger put a potentially game-tying shot on target in the 87th minute, but was turned away by Carlos Herrera.
Tyler Hofmann made three saves on five chances.
