Volleyball gets Road Win Against Texas A&M International

THE RUNDOWN
The Lady Patriots got the win against Heartland Conference opponent Texas A&M International in Laredo this afternoon. DBU was in full control of this match as they won with a 3-0 score. This win finally breaks the six-game losing streak that DBU was on coming into this match. There were a lot of positives from today's match, but one that stands out is that the Lady Patriots only committed 10 errors, which is now the new season-low.

The first set saw the Lady Patriots go out to a quick 9-6 lead and would extend it on from there. They would score 10 of the next 11 points to take a commanding 19-7 lead before ultimately winning the set 25-12. DBU would get another quick lead in the second set by jumping out to an 8-1 lead. TAMU-International would cut the lead down only trailing by one point with a score of 18-17. A few kills from Sidnee Jo Fitzpatrick, Kasey Holand, and Alexa Lezak would hold off a comeback and DBU would win the 2nd set 25-22. TAMU-International showed they weren't ready to get swept and the 3rd set remained close with DBU losing 20-21. A few errors by TAMU-International and three kills from Madeline Dolberry allowed DBU to take the lead and win the set 25-23 and win the match 3-0.
