The DBU Men's Basketball team won its sixth str aight game Saturday, defeating Eastern New Mexico 83-69 at the St. Edward's Thanksgiving Tournament. The Patriots led for the game's final 38:07

DBU erased an early 2-0 ENMU lead after 44 seconds and never looked back, holding the Greyhounds to 41.1% shooting from the floor. The Patriots shot 52.7 percent, marking the third straight game in which they made at least half their field goal attempts.

Boy Van Vliet led DBU with 23 points, adding six rebounds and six assists. Jordan Manse added 18 points, and JT Harris contributed 17 points and nine rebounds.

"It is hard to to play back-to-backs, and I thought our guys showed real mental toughness to respond and get the victory today.  We didn't have our best shooting night, but we defended well and found ways to score in many other ways.  I'm really proud of that, it's the mark of a good team.  Chandler and Zach again gave us great minutes off the bench and Boy and Jordan were terrific."

- The Patriots are 6-0 for the first time since the 2008-09 team started 8-0 on its way to an NCAA Regional Semifinal appearance.
