Patriots Dominant in Return to Burg Center

THE RUNDOWN
No. 17 DBU rode a hot-shooting first half to a 91-71 win over Northeastern State in its first game in two weeks. The Patriots made seven of nine first-half three-point attempts and shot .742 from the floor in the game's first 20 minutes to build a 60-29 lead by the break.

As dominant as they were on the offensive end, the Patriots were equally effective on defense, holding NSU to 2-16 from beyond the three-point line, including an 0-9 start. DBU outrebounded the River Hawks 21-11 in the first half.

Patrick Burke led all scorers with 19 points, and Brayden Harris had 18 off the bench. Zach Lord led all players with eight rebounds, and Carter Brown posted a game-high 10 assists.

THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The Patriots' 31-point halftime lead was their largest of the season.
- DBU has not lost at the Burg Center since December 17, 2016 and has won 16 straight home games.
- The Patriots made more than half their three-point attempts for the third time this season and second time in three games.

DBU HEAD COACH BLAKE FLICKNER ON HIS TEAM'S TOUGHNESS
"You never know what that break is going to do to a team and if they're going to have the same edge and the same intensity, but if anything, we're better. We moved the ball better and rebounded really well, so I'm really pleased with the way we came out today."

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
4 - Conner Lidiak made a carer- high four three-pointers Saturday.
38 - The Patriots' bench scored a season-high 38 points Saturday, as many as it had in the previous four games combined.
