THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Men's Soccer team lost to St. Mary's 3-1 Thursday night in the first Heartland Conference match of the season for both squads. Nenad Markovic scored the first and third goals for the Rattlers. Tommy Fogarty Cameron scored the other St. Mary's goal.
Garrett Morgan tied the game with a header in the 8th minute after DBU fell behind 1-0 after 3 minutes. Morgan's goal came on an assist from
Nathan McBride after a corner kick by
Riley Unger.
St. Mary's kept the ball in the attacking end for the majority of the game;. The Rattlers attempted 18 shots, 9 of which were on goal. The Patriots only managed to get 2 of their 8 shots on target. St. Mary's' Arturo Sanchez earned the game's only yellow card.

I'm still proud of the guys. I think they put in a good effort. We've just still got to check in a little earlier mentally."
