THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Women's Soccer team (4-2, 2-1 Heartland Conference) extended its winning streak to 3 games Saturday with a 2-1 win at Lubbock Christian (4-2-1, 1-2-1). The Patriots took a 1-0 lead into halftime with Elise Royer's 1st career goal in the 31st minute.

The Lady Chaps tied the game 2 minutes into the second half on a goal by Claudia Sanchez. A goal in the 76th minute by Lindsey Beckrich - the first of her career - proved to be the game winner for DBU.

Each team recorded 4 shots on goal. The Patriots did not allow a single shot on goal in the first half.

"This was a game where we were having trouble settling into a rhythm and playing the way we wanted to. LCU is a tough opponent and played us hard and made it difficult to execute. Today was a great test as we had to just find a way to grind out a win. They're not all pretty, but a win is a win."
