THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Women's Soccer team defeated Rogers State 2-1 in double overtime Thursday on Brittany Eccles' header with four minutes to play. The Patriots (8-3-2, 7-1-1 Heartland Conference) dominated the first half, outshooting RSU (7-4-2, 4-3-2) 6-1 in the opening period.
The Hillcats fought back to tie the match at one in the 60th minute, eventually forcing overtime. After 16 minutes of scoreless extra time, Eccles headed in a Kaci Parks corner kick to give DBU its eighth victory of the season.
