Patriots Drop Heartbreaker in Final Seconds to Cameron

THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Men's Basketball team fell in the final seconds of the second half against Cameron despite an 18-point performance from JT Harris. DBU held the lead for 26 minutes and shot six more three-pointers than Cameron, but the Aggies outlasted the Patriots while shooting 43.4 percent from the field.

Chandler Jacobs hit a contested lay-up with 15.8 seconds remaining to put the Patriots up 78-76. Cameron guard Tyus Momoh drove the lane and made a lay-up with 6.8 seconds to go in the half. A foul was called on the shot, which led to Momoh hitting the free throw that put Cameron ahead 79-78, which held to be the final score.

Harris led the Patriots with a game-high 18 points, while Conner Lidiak posted 17 of his own. Chandler Jacobs added 15 points while Julian Miranda recorded 12 points.

HEAD COACH BLAKE FLICKNER ON DBU'S NIGHT
"Tough loss after leading for so much of the game. They just closed the game better than we did and we have to learn from that. Zach gave a great presence on the boards tonight which was good to see and I thought Jalen really grew tonight as well and gave us some great minutes. We have a tough stretch of difficult road games right now and we are going to have to get a little tougher and smarter at closing out games like this."
