COUNTDOWN TO TIP-OFF
The DBU Men's Basketball team opens Heartland Conference play on the road at Lubbock Christian at 7:00 p.m. inside the Rip Griffin Center. The Patriots went 1-0 last week after defeating Northeastern State 72-66
As dominant as they were on the offensive end against the RiverHawks, the Patriots were equally effective on defense, holding NSU to 3-13 from beyond the three-point line, while also forcing NSU into eight turnovers. With less than 10 seconds remaining,
Chandler Jacobs stepped up to the free-throw line sinking both to seal the game.
PATRIOT STORYLINES
- The Patriots enter conference play with a 4-2 record, and is shooting 47 percent from the field.
- DBU averages 85.2 points per game as a team and has won games by an average of 8.9 points.

JT Harris leads the Patriots in scoring at 16.5 points per game and has had single-game totals of 20 and 19 points.Â
- Four Patriots average double figures - Harris (16.5), Jacobs (13.8), Hughes (10.7) and Miranda (10.0).

DBU is 6-6 all-time against Lubbock Christian. The Patriots split the two regular-season matchups last season winning one and losing one, but the Patriots had the upper hand later in the year with a 73-68 victory in the Heartland Conference Tournament Semifinals.
