The DBU Women's Soccer team earned its first victory of the season Thursday night in a 4-0 win over Texas A&M International at Patriot Soccer Field. Kaci Parks scored twice as DBU (1-2-1, 1-0-0 Heartland Conference) opened its conference schedule with a win.
Parks scored the first goal in the 18th minute on a put-back off a save. The Patriots increased their lead to two before the half, as Alondra Olmos finished a cross from Melanie Castelan near the right post in the 34th minute.
Parks scored again just more than four minutes into the second half on an assist from Katelyn Havard. Ericca Everson rounded out the scoring with a 75th-minute tally with an assist from Brittany Eccles. Texas A&M International (1-2-0, 0-1-0) managed two shots on goal all night.

"We've been playing pretty well, honestly, and haven't gotten a win. It was really important tonight for us to get a win, and I felt like we played pretty well, so it's a relief to get off on the right foot in the first conference game."
