THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Women's Soccer team earned its first victory of the season Thursday night in a 4-0 win over Texas A&M International at Patriot Soccer Field. Kaci Parks scored twice as DBU (1-2-1, 1-0-0 Heartland Conference) opened its conference schedule with a win.

Parks scored the first goal in the 18^th minute on a put-back off a save. The Patriots increased their lead to two before the half, as Alondra Olmos finished a cross from Melanie Castelan near the right post in the 34^th minute.

Parks scored again just more than four minutes into the second half on an assist from Katelyn Havard. Ericca Everson rounded out the scoring with a 75^th-minute tally with an assist from Brittany Eccles. Texas A&M International (1-2-0, 0-1-0) managed two shots on goal all night.

"We've been playing pretty well, honestly, and haven't gotten a win. It was really important tonight for us to get a win, and I felt like we played pretty well, so it's a relief to get off on the right foot in the first conference game."
