THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Men's Soccer team defeated Adams State 1-0 in Alamosa, Colorado on Saturday to rise above .500 on the season. David Velazquez provided the Patriots' (2-1-1) lone goal, and Tristen Olvera made four saves to earn his second shutout of the season.

Velazquez buried a line drive in the Grizzly net on an assist from Diego Patli with just under six minutes to play in regulation to give the Patriots their second win of the year. The Grizzlies (0-4-0) remain winless despite doubling DBU's shots on goal total for the game.

THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
 - Velazquez becomes the third Patriot to score a goal in 2018.

 - DBU is over .500 through four games for the fourth straight season.

 - The Patriots have allowed just 11 shots on goal through four games.

"I'm proud of the effort from our boys. This was a good bounce-back win. I thought we played hard on Thursday but didn't get a result, but today, our guys grinded it out and found a way to get a result and do it in the way that we play."
