COUNTDOWN TO TIP-OFF
The Patriots continue conference play at home as the Eagles of Oklahoma Christian make their way to Dallas. Last time out, DBU extended their winning streak to three games after knocking off Heartland Conference foe Arkansas-Fort Smith, 97-89.
Against the Lions, DBU came out firing on all cylinders in the second half, never trailing throughout the contest. DBU shot 54 percent from the field on 14-26 shooting. The Patriots extended their lead to as many as 18 points due to the 57 percent three-point shooting performance, with
Chandler Jacobs and
Carson Hughes each knocking down a pair.
JT Harris and
Chandler Jacobs each finished with 16 points and five rebounds, while
Jonathyn Washington finished with 12 points and a pair of rebounds.
Carter Brown found double-digits with 12 points and a team-high seven assists.
Carson Hughes posted 11 points on 2-5 shooting from beyond the arc.
COACHES VS. CANCER
Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers Week began on Monday night at college basketball games across the nation, as basketball coaches unite for a common cause – saving lives from cancer. On Thursday night at the Burg Center, the coaching staffs from both DBU and Oklahoma Christian will wear sneakers with their suits to help raise awareness in the fight against cancer.
