THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Basketball team fell 87-80 to Daemen on Friday evening in a non-conference match-up in Austin, Texas. The Wildcats shot 52 percent from the field and saw 22 points from Jeff Redband who was 6-7 from the field and 4-5 from beyond the arc.

Daemen led by 11 points with just under eight minutes remaining in the second half. The Patriots answered with a run to cut the lead to five with 2:04 left to play, but Daemen held the Patriots at bay making 16-22 free-throws to seal the game.

Chandler Jacobs was the Patriots leading scorer with 21 points, matching his second-best performance on the season since Lubbock Christian (11/29). Jordan Manse finished with 17 points and four rebounds, while Zach Lord posted 14 points of his own. Conner Lidiak was 3-9 from beyond the arc to finish with 11 total points.

COACH BLAKE FLICKNER ON THE GAME
"Daemen is a very good team and they shot the ball extremely well tonight. They really did a great job at having answers for whatever we threw at them today. There were some bright spots. I thought JT had a good defensive game. Zach and Jordan shot the ball well and Chandler had 21 with 8 assists. But overall we had too many defensive breakdowns and we got impatient on offense."
