THE RUNDOWN
DBU (12-10, 4-6) fell to St. Mary's (9-10, 3-8) Saturday afternoon in San Antonio, Texas.
Brooke Clark and
Emma Eakin were at the top of the leaderboard in kills with Brooke posting 17 on the match, while Emma was close behind with 15. Sophomore
Sofia Black also led the team in blocks posting a new career-high with six.

The Lady Patriots jumped out to an early 7-3 lead after a 4-0 run put them on top. Another 5-0 run, with the help of a couple Rattler errors, helped DBU extend their lead to 13-7. DBU kept their momentum to win the first set, 25-19.
Brooke Clark and
Emma Eakin led the match with five kills each alongside
Alyssa Pevehouse who posted nine digs.

It was a close start in the second set with both teams tied for the first four points, but a 7-0 run help the Rattlers pull ahead at 10-4. The Lady Patriots were able to find their footing to fight back with their own 7-0 run to tie the game at 13-13. Neither team allowed much breathing room for the next three points, but the Rattlers pulled ahead to win the set 25-20.
Brooke Clark remained on top of the leaderboard with 23 attacks while
Hannah Tawney led with three blocks on the set.

It was the Rattlers who pulled ahead to an early 5-1 lead in the third set. A 7-0 run by the Lady Patriots, with kills from
Brooke Clark and
Lexie Houston helped DBU rally back. It was a tied game at 13-13, with a couple errors by the Rattlers allowing DBU to pull ahead. A 5-0 run helped the Lady Patriots extend their lead even further at 23-17. A final error by the Rattler and a kill via
Lexie Houston helped DBU to a win at 25-20.

It was point-for-point at the start of the fourth set, with each team matching the others effort for the first four points. The Rattlers were able to pull ahead to a 12-8 lead, but the Lady Patriots came back to tie the game at 14-14. Both teams kept a tied game for the next nine points at 23-23, but the Rattlers pulled ahead to take the set, 25-23.

St. Mary's got an early 3-1 lead in the fifth set, but DBU came back to tie the game at 8-8. A 5-0 run from the Rattlers helped them pull ahead to a 13-8 lead over DBU. The Rattlers won the final set, 15-10.
