COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF
Last time out, the DBU Men's Soccer team defeated Oklahoma Christian Wednesday evening behind goals from
Abraham Garcia and
Josue Vazquez. The Patriots (4-12-1, 2-9-1 Lone Star Conference) claimed a 2-1 victory behind
Josue Vazquez's goal in the 93rd minute. The win was DBU's second in a row and first against the Eagles since 2017.
Abraham Garcia got the scoring started for DBU, finding the net in the 52nd minute off an assist from Vazquez to erase OC's 1-0 lead. Senior
Tristen Olvera's multiple second half saves allowed DBU to force overtime and set up Vazquez's game-winning goal.
Wednesday's victory gives DBU the opportunity to end the season with momentum. Senior Night will feature the honoring of
Aaron Proulx,
Tristen Olvera, Josue Vasquez, and
Garrett Morgan.
