THE RUNDOWN
The No. 10 DBU Men's Basketball team fell to Texas A&M Commerce 102-78 in Thursday night's contest at the Kenneth E. Burg Center. The 24-point loss is DBU's (9-1, 3-1) first of the year as the program win streak to open the season ends at nine in a row.
Â
Poor free throw shooting and rebounding woes plagued the Patriots as they struggled to compete against the Lions' physical style of play. A&M Commerce found a hearty offensive outburst behind 62 percent shooting and a combined 31 points of 20 DBU turnovers.
Â
Carter Brown led the Patriots with 13 points and a game high seven rebounds. Senior guard
Conner Lidiak contributed 11 points of his own on 75 percent shooting from behind the ark.

HEAD COACH BLAKE FLICKNER ON THE CONTEST
"We got to give them credit, they were just the better team tonight in every aspect. We aren't happy with the way we played. We need to learn from this, we need to learn from the way we responded when things got tough, and today we just weren't the better team."
