THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Basketball team survived a late push from Arkansas Fort Smith in a 101-91 win that extended the Patriots' nation-long home winning streak to 35 games.
Chandler Jacobs tied a career-high with 33 points as DBU held off a Lion charge that cut the lead to as little as 10 in the second half.
DBU (17-7, 9-2 Heartland Conference) built a 26-point lead shortly before halftime, but the Patriots would need the help of a 20-of-21 free throw effort in the second half to overcome a 61-point outburst by UAFS facilitated by an intense full-court press.
Jacobs' 33 points were a game-high.
JT Harris contributed 16 points, while
Carter Brown added 12, and
Jonathyn Washington put up 10.
