Three-Error Fifth Dooms Patriots Against Baylor

DBU committed three errors in the fifth inning, allowing four runs to score in a 5-1 loss to Baylor at Horner Ballpark on Tuesday. The Patriots (21-7) stranded 10 runners on base as Herbert Iser's solo home run in the fourth produced their only run.

Jimmy Fouse started the game with four scoreless innings,striking out two batters and allowing just one to reach on a single. With the wind blowing out to center, the senior from Midlothian got 10 of the 13 batters he faced to make outs in the air.

Iser gave DBU a short-lived lead in the fourth when he deposited the first pitch he saw beyond the right field fence for his fourth home run of the season. 

The Bears (21-7) scored four runs in the fourth on three hits and three DBU errors. 

DBU left the bases loaded in both the first and third innings without scoring runs, Just two Patriots reached base in the final four innings.
