COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF
DBU defeated Southern Nazarene 3-2 on Tuesday night in Bethany, Oklahoma. In front of a crowd of 250, freshman defender Austin Meza drilled the games first goal putting DBU up 1-0 in the 7th minute.

Southern Nazarene answered back with a goal of their own from Sergio Diaz in the 25th minute.

In the 76th minute, Jonathan Macias scored on a penalty kick followed by Abraham Garcia goal just a minute later giving DBU the commanding 3-1 lead.

PATRIOT STORYLINES 
- DBU has scored six total goals on the season, two more than last season through three games.
- The Patriots have limited opponents to fifteen shots on goal through three games in 2019.
- Abraham Garcia has six points leading the Patriots, and has eight total shots on the season.
- The Patriots are in search of their first winning season since men's soccer returned to campus in 2012.
Tristen Olvera has made eight saves through three games. 

SCOUTING SOUTHWESTERN ASSEMBLIES OF GOD
- The Lions are coming off a 2-0 loss to LSU-Alexandria on Tuesday.
- SAGU is 0-4-1 on the season with the lone tie coming against Texas College.
- Mazvita Chidarara leads the Lions with three goals on the year.
- Saturday marks the start of four straight road games and five of the next seven games away from home for the Lions

SERIES HISTORY
DBU leads the all-time series 3-1-1. The Patriots took last season's contest 3-0.

UP NEXT
DBU continues its home-stand as Oklahoma Christian visits Patriot Field this Saturday to begin Lone Star Conference play. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
