THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Men's Basketball team swept its conference series versus Angelo State, with a 93-86 victory Saturday afternoon. In a battle of offensive philosophies, the Patriots wreaked havoc from the three-point line while the Rams forced their way through the Patriots to the rim.Â
Chandler Jacobs led the three-point barrage with 7-10 shooting from outside. Jacobs led the Patriots in scoring for the second consecutive game with 23 points on the afternoon. While Angelo State was able to bully their way inside with 52 paint points and 20 free throw attempts, DBU was able to keep them at bay by outshooting the Rams 19-5 from behind the arc.
Jacobs was joined in double-digit scoring by a squadron of Patriots, as
William Heather (16),
Jalen White (13),
Austin Garner (11), and Ricky
Lujan (14) helped shoulder the offensive load. Â
