THE RUNDOWN
No. 25 DBU claimed their first win on the road this season with a convincing 99-62 victory over Cameron at the Aggie Gymnasium in Lawton, Oklahoma, on Monday. Led by a stingy defensive effort, the Patriots (4-0) held Cameron (0-6) to just 32 percent shooting from the field. Offensively,
Chandler Jacobs led all scorers with 22 points, while
Ricky Lujan added 21.Â
After falling behind, 12-4, in the game's first six-and-a-half minutes, Lujan injected life into the Patriot offense, connecting on a mid-range jumper and then a three-pointer to give DBU a 13-12 lead. The Patriots would go on a 15-0 run during that three-minute stretch and eventually took a 43-34 advantage into the half.
Over the final 20 minutes, DBU doubled-up the Aggies in the scoring column, outscoring Cameron 56-28. In a second half dominated by the Patriots, DBU shot 56 percent from the field, while holding the Aggies to a paltry 27 percent shooting. DBU also made shooting from three-point range nearly impossible, as Cameron recorded just one three-point shot on 11 attempts in the second half.

HEAD COACH BLAKE FLICKNER ON DBU'S FIRST ROAD WIN
"This was a really good team win today. It's the first road game we've had this year and the guys responded well. It's never easy to win on the road against good teams. We set the tone early offensively. I'm really proud of how we guarded the ball, played our principles defensively, and took better care of the ball."
