Men's Tennis Resumes Action With 7-0 Win Over Eagles

THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Men's Tennis team ended their three-week hiatus with a win over the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas. With the 7-0 victory against the Eagles, the Patriots remain undefeated on the year as the quartet of Grant McKenzie, Gabe Garrido, Aaron Capone, and Joshua Ramos each picked up wins in singles competition.

The Patriots left the Alexander Boreham Tennis Center with success in doubles play as well. Hunter Terrell joined Joshua Ramos for an 8-3 doubles win as the Patriots went undefeated on the day.

The win marks DBU's first 5-0 start to a season since 2018.

DBU HEAD COACH WADE MORGAN ON THE WIN
"The guy's played about as well as we could have asked given the circumstances... We gained some much needed matchplay experience to help us prepare for spring break and conference. Even though the match got cut short, we are grateful for the opportunity to have gotten one in. We're in a good spot right now considering the adversity we've dealt with this spring."

UP NEXT
The Patriots travel to Grand Junction to compete against Colorado Mesa and Colorado College on March 9 and 11.
