Patriots Finish Colorado Swing with 1-2 Record

THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Men's tennis team returns to university hill after going 1-2 over a four-day stretch in Colorado. The Patriots earned a 4-3 win over Colorado College, but would fall to Colorado Mesa, 3-4 and, MSU Denver, 0-7 to finish the trip with a 6-2 overall record.

The duo of Josh Williams and Gabe Garrido led the Patriots in doubles play over the week with a record of 1-1-1 through three matches; their 6-1 victory in line one action proved critical in DBU's 4-3 win over Colorado College on Wednesday.

Aaron Capone and Grant McKenzie highlighted singles play with 2-1 records through three games. Through eight games of play, the tandem currently leads the Patriots with a combined record of 13-2 in singles action. DBU's Josh Williams and Gabe Garrido also picked up wins as the Patriots continue their hottest start to a season since the 2017-2018 campaign.

HEAD COACH WADE MORGAN ON THE MEN'S PROGRESS
"The men have been playing better and better as the year continues. They are becoming a stronger unit, and we are all beginning to see what they are capable of.. Our doubles play was solid on this trip, and the guys adjusted to the altitude in singles. I couldn't ask more of them in that regard. Overall, this trip was a great experience to prepare for conference matches next week."

UP NEXT
The Patriots return to the DFW to compete against Midwestern State and the University of the Southwest on Friday, March 19.
