THE RUNDOWN
DBU (9-6, 1-2 LSC) fought its way to a 1-1 split over conference foes on Friday and Saturday. The Patriots earned their first-ever victory over UAFS, 5-2, before falling to Cameron, 0-7, on Saturday afternoon. 

Grant Mckenzie and Aaron Capone earned a critical doubles win to help the Patriots survive a hot start from UAFS. The Patriots would then go on a tear in singles play, as Aaron Capone, Gabe Garrido, Josh Williams, and Joshua Ramos kept the Lions at bay to give DBU its second win of the week.

"Fort Smith came out hot early to take the doubles point. All season long, we have been putting ourselves in positions to win these close matches, and the guys just continue to get better as we go... We are starting to believe we can win some of these matches and it's really fun to see."
