THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Men's Tennis team (10-7, 2-3 LSC) dropped Friday's contest versus Texas Wesleyan, 2-4. The loss evens the all-time series between the Patriots and the Rams at two games apiece, while DBU returns to LSC competition to conclude the 2021 season. 

The Patriots gained an early advantage by sweeping the Rams in doubles play. However, TWU would climb their way back into contention in singles action by clinching wins in lines 2-5 to capture the victory. Sophomore Grant McKenzie was the only Patriot to go undefeated on the day as he picked up his 10th win of the season from the line 1 position.

"Our men played with a lot of heart today. Texas Wesleyan was very tough in singles...We got down early and fought back on almost every court. I'm proud of the effort even though the result wasn't what we wanted."
