After the Patriots opening weekend was pushed aside due to the snow, DBU traveled to Conway, Arkansas, to open up their season with a three-match weekend against Hendrix, John Brown and University of the Ozarks.Â

DBU won all three matches, beginning with a 6-3 victory against Hendrix. The Patriots won one- of-three doubles matches and five-out-of-six singles matches to secure the win. Freshman Richard Carvajalino and junior
Aaron Capone picked up the first doubles win of the season with an 8-3 victory in line two Friday morning. Senior
Gabe Garrido got the Patriots rolling with the first singles win of the season, blanking his opponent in line two.
Aaron Capone, Richard Carvajalino,
Roman Hill and
Bryce Skarya each won their singles matches to secure the win for DBU.

The Patriots ended the weekend with a 6-1 win over John Brown and a 4-0 blanking over University of the Ozarks. DBU won two-of-three doubles matches against the Golden Eagles, including wins by Richard Carvajalino and
Aaron Capone in line two and
Will Fiala and
Roman Hill in line three. DBU won five-out-of-six singles matches, including the first singles victory of the season by
Grant McKenzie in line one.
Gabe Garrido,
Aaron Capone, Richard Carvajalino and
Roman Hill all followed with singles wins of their own.
