The DBU men's tennis team opened the weekend with a big 7-0 win against Univ. Of The Southwest, and finished the weekend with a tough loss to their Patriot rivals of UT Tyler, losing 0-7.

With a clean sweep against Univ. Of the Southwest, the Patriots opened it up with three doubles wins. Started by the team of
Aaron Capone and Richard Carvajalino, DBU didn't look back.
Zach Capone and
Gabe Garrido followed with a doubles win of their own, while
Andrew Dayman and
Roman Hill ended doubles sets with their win.

Going 6-0 in singles, the men had a clean sweep.

Roman Hill joining.

Zach Capone got in on the fun, securing their two wins and the overall win for the Patriots.

In the match against UT Tyler, every set was close and hard fought, with DBU just narrowly coming up short. The Patriots move to 9-11 on the season, with just 4 matches remaining in the season.

 "We definitely did well in certain moments this weekend, there is still need to improve on capitalizing on certain moments. The competition in the Lone Star (Conference) is so high that we have no choice but to improve as we work our way to the end of the season."
