THE RUNDOWN 
DBU defeated UT Tyler 4-2 tonight at Mercy Street Soccer Complex in Dallas. Three goals in the span of ten minutes broke open a 1-1 tie in the second half for the Patriots to earn a key win in the Lone Star Conference race. Peyton Voelker headlined the night with two goals, making him the all-time leading goal scorer in school history.

DBU struck first in the 29th minute when Evan Pustejovsky assisted Peyton Voelker to put the Patriots up 1-0. Ten minutes later, UT Tyler scored the equalizer to end the half at 1-1.  

The second half hovered around center field as both teams tried to build their attack until DBU broke through in the 72nd minute when Gavyn Rosales, assisted by Peyton Voelker, scored, putting the Patriots up 2-1. Two minutes later, DBU found the back of the net again when Gavyn Rosales assisted Ethan Unger for the Patriots' third goal. DBU's hustle did not back down as they added a final goal by Voelker to seal the win in the 83rd minute. UT Tyler scored one more in the 85th minute, but the Patriots came away with the 4-2 win in the end.  

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW 

• The Patriots added three points to their LSC standings, moving up the board with nine points total.  

• DBU honored 5 seniors on senior night, including Blake Bauer, Giovanni Enriquez, Alexander Knepper, Marshall Dickson, and Ethan Unger  

• This marks the second consecutive year that DBU has defeated UTT in conference play.  

• Gavyn Rosales and Peyton Voelker lead the team in assists, both with four this season.

21 - Peyton Voelker sets the new DBU record for career goals, totaling 21 in his three-year career.
