THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Men's Tennis swept all three opponents in Conway, Arkansas, over the weekend, defeating the University of the Ozarks, 9-0, and Hendrix, 7-2, on Friday before defeating John Brown, 6-1 on Saturday.
Grant McKenzie led the way for the Patriots after going 3-0 in singles play. At the line one position in singles versus Ozarks' Aaron Gambrell, McKenzie won in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2. The Patriots' senior would claim two victories at the line two spot, winning all but one set over the next two matches.
In doubles play, the Patriots went a perfect 9-0 over the weekend headlined by the line one team of
Arturo Langle and
Fabian Rosales who swept all three matches.

"This weekend the played well, especially in doubles, not dropping a match all weekend was nice to wee. We're starting to build confidence in our pairings and competition like this is going to help prepare us as the schedule gets much tougher in the coming weeks."

UP NEXT
DBU returns home for four matches next weekend. On Friday, February 17, the Patriots face Texas A&M-Texarkana and Hardin-Simmons, followed by a pair of matches against Our Lady of the Lake and East Texas Baptist on Saturday.
