THE RUNDOWNÂ
Northeastern State shut out the Patriots in a 4-0 loss at DeLoche Stadium tonight in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. The Riverhawks defense only allowed three shots on goal by the Patriots while the DBU struggled to keep NSU out of the box throughout the game.Â
The first point of the game was scored by NSU's Mario Sapena in the 5th minute. The Patriots managed to get five shots in the first half, but none got past goalkeeper Ian Milla. The Riverhawks scored again in the last minute of the half after Donovan Aparicio's shot found the back of the net, making the score at the half 2-0. Â
The Patriots were unable to get past the defense of NSU in the second half, and the Riverhawks remained in control. At the 87th-minute mark, Martin Martinez scored the third goal for NSU, scoring 3-0. The final goal for the Riverhawks came just one minute later when Ivan Lopez got a breakaway bringing the game to a close and a 4-0 final score. Â

- DBU faced 10 shots on goal and earned six saves bringing Alexander Knepper's save percentage to 0.6% for the game. Ian Milla faced three shots by DBU and saved three, resulting in a perfect save percentage for the Riverhawk goalie. Â
