THE RUNDOWN   
DBU claimed its first win of the season after a 3-0 shutout win against St. Edwards at Patriot Soccer Field on Saturday night. In a match that was scoreless through the first 65 minutes, the Patriots scored all three goals late in the second half of the match.  

A pair of brilliant saves by Alexander Knepper in the first half helped to preserve a clean sheet going into the break. Twenty minutes into the second half, Blake Bauer scored his first career goal for the Patriots with an assist from Nathan Hayes. The next goal for DBU was delivered by Peyton Voelker at the 78th minute of the game. The final point for the Patriots came off the foot of a St. Edwards player following a cross made by Peyton Voelker.  

THREE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW   

• This is the Patriot's first win over St. Edwards in a series that dates back to 2012. 

• DBU goalkeeper Alexander Knepper ties Chuck Schober for the most starts (36) by a goalkeeper in school history. 

• Blake Bauer netted his first career goal as a Patriot with an assist from Nathan Hayes.
