The DBU Men's Soccer suffered a 1-0 loss to Eastern New Mexico on Thursday night at Patriot Soccer Field. The game remained scoreless through the first 58 minutes before a goal by ENMU's Ignacio Lopez gave the Greyhounds the lead. Â
Momentum hung in the balance during the first half as both teams fought for possession. Each team had only two shots in the first half with their defensive play showcasing the half. Â
Thirteen minutes into the second half, the Greyhounds went up 1-0 after ENMU's Ignacio Lopez's shot found the back of the net. In the final five minutes of the game, DBU shot four times, two by Peyton Voelker and two by Evan Pustejovsky. Greyhound freshman goalkeeper Hugo Sacco was able to save each shot attempt made by the Patriots, earning his first career clean sheet. DBU was unable to make the equalizing goal before time expired, and the game ended 1-0 with the Greyhounds on top. Â
