DBU Earns Hard-Earned Point in 0-0 Tie Against Sul Ross State

THE RUNDOWN
The DBU Men's Soccer team battled to a scoreless draw against Sul Ross State on Wednesday night at Patriot Soccer Field, earning a hard-fought point in Lone Star Conference play. The result keeps the Patriots in sixth place in the league standings with four matches remaining in the regular season.

In the 87th minute, the Lobos appeared to have broken through when Marlon Meda found the back of the net, but the goal was overturned after a foul was whistled in the box against Sul Ross State.

DBU dictated much of the action in the match, outshooting the Lobos 15-10 and forcing Sul Ross goalkeeper Benjamin Aviles into several key stops. The sophomore netminder finished with four saves, including a game-saving denial of Caden Berg's strike in the final minute of regulation.
